چکیده

We obtain an analytic expression for the full distribution of conductance for a strongly disordered threedimensional conductor within a perturbative approach based on transfer-matrix formulation. Our results confirm the numerical evidence that the log-normal limit of the distribution is not reached even in the deeply insulating regime. We show that the variance of the logarithm of the conductance scales as a fractional power of the mean, while the skewness changes sign as one approaches the Anderson metal-insulator transition from the deeply insulating limit, all described as a function of a single parameter. The approach suggests a possible single parameter description of the Anderson transition that takes into account the full nontrivial distribution of conductance.

Band-center anomaly of the conductance distribution in one-dimensional Anderson localization

We analyze the conductance distribution function in the one-dimensional Anderson model of localization, for weak disorder but arbitrary energy. For energy at the band center the distribution function deviates from the form that is assumed to be universal in single-parameter scaling theory. A direct link to the breakdown of the random-phase approximation is established. Our findings are confirme...

Quantum transparency of Anderson insulator junctions: Statistics of transmission eigenvalues, shot noise, and proximity conductance

We investigate quantum transport through strongly disordered barriers, made of a material with exceptionally high resistivity that behaves as an Anderson insulator or a “bad metal” in the bulk, by analyzing the distribution of Landauer transmission eigenvalues for a junction where such barrier is attached to two clean metallic leads. We find that scaling of the transmission eigenvalue distribut...

The study of electronic conductance of a nanoribbon with square lattice including some impurities

In this paper, we study the electronic conductance of a nanoribbon with square lattice by using Green’s function theory within the tight-binding approach. For this purpose, we separate the conductance modes in the ideal parts by using a suitable unitary transformation in order to obtain the analytic formula for the corresponding self-energies. Then, we present a fast computer algorithm based on...

ابررسانایی در کوپراتهای بهینه آلاییده: برنامه BZA به خوبی کار می‌کند و ابر تعادل چسب است

Resonating valence bond states in a doped Mott insulator was proposed to explain superconductivity in cuprates in January 1987 by Anderson. A challenging task then was proving existence of this unconventional mechanism and a wealth of possibilities, with a rigor acceptable in standard condensed matter physics, in a microscopic theory and develop suitable many body techniques. Shortly, a paper...

The structural and density state calculation of B Nitrogen doped silicene nano flake

In this paper, we study the effect of single Boron/Nitrogen impurityatom on electronic properties of a silicene nano flake. Our calculations are basedon density functional theory by using Gaussian package. Here, one Si atom insilicene nano flake substitutes with a Boron/Nitrogen atom. The results show thatsubstitution of one Si atom with single Boron/Nitrogen atom increases distanceof impurity ...
